Anna McKinnon Anna McKinnon is a NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp Trainer (National Exercise and Sports Trainer), Certified Personal Trainer through The Cooper Institute of Dallas, Texas, and certified by The American Red Cross in CPR and First Aid. She also, attends monthly workshop and certification programs at The Cooper Institute to continue her education and stay on top of the latest health and exercise trends

Anna is a former Nationally Ranked Triathlete, competing in over 50 triathlons. She went on to run 3 marathons and winning the overall female division in The Ukiah Russian River Marathon in Ukiah, California. She is currently training for the 2008 Mount Olympus Marathon in Olympus, Greece.

Anna's mission and passion for over 20 years as been spent inspiring and motivating women to overcome obstacles and challenges, that they never thought possible. Whether it was teaching women how to sail, backpacking in the Colorado Rocky mountains, or by teaching women how to become truly fit and healthy through proper nutrtion and exercise.

Katie Viator has been with Adventure Boot Camp since May of 2007.  She received her Personal Trainer Certification in May of 2008 from the Cooper Institute in Dallas.  Katie is a lifelong athlete.  Growing up in Duncanville, she competed in club and school volleyball throughout high school and college.   She has been a club volleyball coach on and off for 10 years.  She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

Katie is very passionate about helping people and believes that working out is a part of life.  She loves boot camp and feels strongly that it is unique and different from other programs in many ways.  Through boot camp she has learned to eat better and make better choices at the grocery store as well.  She loves sharing the knowledge that she has gained to help other women get in shape and take care of their bodies.  She has seen first hand the amazing impact boot camp can have on you and how it can affect the other people in your life.  She believes it has made her a better and much more positive person.  Working out and getting healthy is not short term, it’s for life!

Katie will be leading the DFW Adventure Boot Camp (Women Only) for the 9:15 am session at our Southlake location.

John has been featured or quoted in every major fitness publication, and held the post of Fitness Editor for OC Flair magazine. John has been featured on NBC, CBS, PBS, SPIKE, ESPN & Bravo. He serves as an on-air expert for Life & Leisure Television and Health Journal Television with General Norman Schwarzkopf. He is the producer and host of The OC Body on The Healthy Living Channel. John is a Nautilus sponsored athlete and stars in the workout DVDs Playground Boot Camp? & Kung-Fu Fitness?. John created the fitness program used by the U.S. Secret Service and he consults the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships).

John has been continuing his professional education since 1987, and holds bachelors degrees in business and health science, an MBA, and a doctorate in education. He is currently completing a second doctorate in naturopathy. He has fifteen certifications including massage therapy, plyometrics, self-defense, fitness kick boxing, fitness boxing, water fitness, exercise rehabilitation, golf conditioning, Pilates, personal training, clinical hypnotherapy, sports hypnosis, PACE circuit training and yoga. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in kung-fu, has completed the Ironman triathlon, and finished 5th at the U.S. National Biathlon Championships. His medical training includes a license in radiological technology, a medical assisting certification, and training in McKenzie rehabilitation. John was nominated for the California Community College Distinguished Alumni Award.
